Kinder (Age 4-5)

Our kindergarten is a fully Government accredited and approved kindergarten program, run 5 days per week, 9.30am till 3.30pm. Our kinder class is taught by Steph, who is a bachelor qualified early childhood teacher. The kindergarten program has a focus on school readiness through strengthening self-regulation skills, independence, cognitive development and numeracy and literacy skills.
We run special programs throughout our kinder year such as the ‘early learning languages Australia’ program, bush kinder, dot and dash basic technology skills and the pet safe program.
Our bush kinder program occurs at the Kokoda memorial national park or Tim Neville Arboretum where the children are able to learn about and make cognitive/emotional connections with native flora and fauna, as well as flex their imaginative skills; this program runs once per fortnight during school terms
Throughout the year the kinder class also attend a number of excursions and host a number of incursions based on children’s interests and the curriculum we are exploring at the time.
